Pauillac
Deep garnet hue with a bright ruby rim. A tad shy in the nose but shows aromas of brambly blackberry, earth, eucalyptus and the brooding presence of alcohol. Perfectly balanced flavors of sweet, forward black fruit, loamy earth, sweet oak and a touch of vanilla - all in a dense, tooth-coating package. Long close highlighted by toasty vanillin oak. $56 -- TMW
