On the palate, the wine is round and generous with medium tannins and lush flavors of sour cherry, blueberry and star anise, finishing with a flourish of leather-tinged framboise. Lots to like at this price, with a pedigree of a single estate vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands not mentioned on the label. $20 / 5,400 cases
